Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana’s First Saturday Community Artisan Event

Saturday, September 5th, from 10:30 AM–4:00 PM

Check out Ninepipes Museum for a day of art, sports history and musical entertainment!

  • Visit with coach and local author Gale Decker about his book The Reservation Tornados, the story of Ronan’s notable1928 and 1929 Boys’ Basketball Teams.
  • Stop outside to grab a tasty meal from That One Guy’s Food Truck.

Live Music: 

  • Native Culture–Meet traditional flutist and hoop dancer Ryder Parot – This talented teen demonstrates his skill with the Native American flute from 10am to 12pm. 
  • “The Late Bloomers” Charlie and Coy and their renowned band liven it up with a foot tapping -versatile blend of traditional and contemporary acoustic sounds of country, folk, and blues music from 12pm to 3pm.

Artists:

  • Born in South Africa Artist Natalie Raffield now lives in Polson, Montana. Natalie opened her own gallery in South Africa and donated pastel and acrylic works to wildlife preservation organizations, including David Shepherd’s Wildlife Artist of The Year. In northern Canada, she opened a coop gallery and led classes in dancing, drawing, and painting.
  • Native American Artist and cultural presenter, Sandra Ashley is back with her unique blend of contemporary and traditional beadwork & jewelry and will share her cultural knowledge with visitors.
  • Local Artist Debra Anthony Thompson works with acrylic on canvas and with watercolor to create colorful depictions of Montana landscapes and wildlife.
