Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana invites the public to our August 1st First Saturday Community Artisan Events from 10:30 AM to 4 PM.
Join us for a day of art and entertainment with local authors, photographers, artisans, savory refreshments and live music.
Explore unique artisan creations, shop museum merchandise, and enjoy special discounts.

- Celebrated writer, speaker and singer Bonnie Jo Hunt (Wicahpi Win, Star Woman, Hunkapa Lakota) is the author of many books, including Lone Wolf Clan Books, a historical series of ten novels she co-wrote with her husband Lawrence J. Hunt. She will sing traditional songs from various tribes and read from her book Raven Wing at 11 AM to 12 PM, and again from 3:30 PM to 4 PM.
- Kalispell Children’s Author Lorrie Grosfield will share storytelling at 12 to 12:30 PM
From her books High – Tail Falls, a tale about a buffalo who wants to be a Smokejumper, and Hallie the Hero: based on a true story about survival, wildfires, and a mother turtle.
- Relax and enjoy live music and vocals by the talented Kate Mostad from 12:30 to 3:30 PM. Kate’s song writing is rooted in western Montana’s natural environment, blending her digital recording work with acoustic storytelling.
- Chat with Montana Moments photographer Dee Dee Barbour and view her dramatic western Montana photography.
- Try out artisan Jessika Baldertson’s scented and eye – catching wares, from homemade jams and soaps to jewelry.
